Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Taskr LLC ("Taskr," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Taskr, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked here. If you do not agree, do not use Taskr.

You must be at least 18 years old, have legal capacity to enter this agreement, be permitted to use the service under applicable law, and provide accurate account information.

2. What Taskr provides

Taskr is a technology marketplace that connects people seeking real-world services (posters) with independent people offering those services (helpers). Taskr facilitates discovery, communication, payments, and support, but is not the employer of helpers and is not a party to the service agreement between users.

3. Accounts and verification

• Keep registration information accurate and your credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must promptly report unauthorized use.
• Taskr may request identity, eligibility, payment, payout, or background-check information and may restrict an account while verification is incomplete.
• Taskr may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information, create risk, or violate these Terms.

4. Marketplace rules

• Posters must describe tasks accurately, provide a safe work environment, and pay the agreed amount for completed work.
• Helpers must accurately represent their skills and any required licenses or certifications, and are responsible for their tools, materials, taxes, and legal compliance.
• Users may not request or perform illegal, dangerous, deceptive, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise prohibited activity.
• Users may not arrange off-platform payment to avoid Taskr fees or protections.

5. Prices, fees, payments, and payouts

Task prices and Taskr's service fee are shown before authorization. Paid tasks use a fixed agreed price; hourly payment is not currently supported. Taskr may authorize the displayed total before work begins and capture it through the completion flow. Tips are separate and optional.

Stripe processes card payments and helper payouts. Taskr does not control Stripe or bank processing times. Helper balances may move through pending, available, and paid-out states, and a Stripe payout status is not the same as confirmation that a bank has posted the deposit.

6. Cancellations, refunds, and disputes

The Cancellation and Refund Policy and Dispute Process are incorporated into these Terms. Before capture, an approved cancellation releases the uncaptured authorization. After capture, a refund review is required. Taskr may approve no refund, a partial refund, or a full refund based on the evidence and remaining refundable amount.

7. User content and reviews

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Taskr a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service. Reviews must be truthful and based on genuine experience. Taskr may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

The Taskr application, branding, designs, and technology belong to Taskr or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from them except as permitted by law or with written permission.

9. Third-party services

Taskr relies on third-party services, including payment, identity, cloud, mapping, communications, and authentication providers. Their terms may also apply. Taskr is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.

10. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TASKR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TASKR DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, THAT A USER IS SUITABLE FOR A PARTICULAR TASK, OR THAT THE RESULT OF A TASK WILL MEET EXPECTATIONS. USERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EXERCISING REASONABLE JUDGMENT AND TAKING APPROPRIATE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.

11. Limitation of liability and indemnity

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TASKR LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM TASKR OR A USER-TO-USER SERVICE. TASKR'S TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TASKR IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Taskr LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your use of Taskr, your services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or law.

12. Legal dispute resolution

Contact Taskr Support first so we can try to resolve the concern informally. Except where prohibited by law, legal disputes arising from these Terms or Taskr will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's applicable rules. Either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You waive participation in class actions and class-wide arbitration.

These Terms are governed by Texas law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

13. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms and will provide notice of material changes through the app, email, or this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
